In preparation for the launch of this site we have tried to anticipate questions and answer them on the website.
We will review this continuously and add questions to the FAQ section as they are received.
Frequently asked questions:
Can I take more than one product at a time?
Yes you could take a combination of EB products.
You may wish to combine more than one supplement e.g. Bowel with Pancreas. It is safe to do this and we would recommend taking one of each capsule rather than a two of each at the same time.
We recommend taking one capsule of each rather than 2 of each. You could take 1 of each EB*1,3,4,5 men or EB*1,2,4,5 women.
The dosages are such that there would not be any undue side-effects expected.
Can I take other supplements products with ProfBiotics products?
You can take a general multivitamin with any EB compound. The dosages within standard multivitamins in combination is highly unlikely to have any deleterious effect.
Have you tested the safety?
Yes 48 subjects took the supplements in a test scenario. No significant adverse effects were noted. Please note that green tea might affect sleep in some individuals due to the caffeine content.
Are there any safety precautions?
We recommend that if you are taking prescription medication then you should check with your pharmacist or doctor.
How do you know they will work?
The evidence from published medical studies on individual ingredients that we have researched suggests there is potential benefit for each ingredient. Addressing risk factors “the earlier the better” may help reduce risks from oxidative damage and inflammation which the ingredients help to minimise. The range on the website offers referenced material which is evidence based; ie more than most other food supplements provide. It is important to have a healthy diet, limited alcohol, not to smoke and take regular exercise.
How did you decide what doses are best?
We chose doses as close as possible to those in studies. Where doses are lower, the effect of the other ingredients may provide additive effects.
Are there other potential conditions where risks may be reduced?
Diabetes, FAP, IBS, IBD, PIN, HGPIN, hepatitis, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, gastritis, gastric ulcers and dyspepsia.
Will you produce any other formulations?
If you have specific queries please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond as soon as possible.
